THE MECHANICS OF MEDITATION

Step by step in slow motion

The Reality of my life cannot die, for I am Indestructible Consciousness. I am Infinite, Space less, tireless & beyond Body, Thought, & Utterance, beyond all Matter & Mind. I am Endless BLISS.   

WHY MEDITATE?

To attain conscious awareness of the Creator & of our-Souls eternal oneness with Him.

Concentration – consists in freeing the attention from distractions & focusing it on any elevated THOUGHT. Basically, it amounts to being a master of your five senses, total self-sovereignty.

Contemplation – consists of holding that elevated THOUGHT for a long time. Looking at it from all angles, exploring its subtle meanings by churning it over.

PREPARING TO MEDITATE?

Sit still with a straight spine, preferably on the floor with legs locked in & palms facing upwards, resting comfortably on the thighs. Take a few deep breaths & exhale the stagnant air out completely. Settle down with normal breathing. Cover up your fidgety eyeballs with the shutters of your eyelids. Lock the eyelid doors & shut out the wild dance of tempting scenes. Hold them still too. Fix the gaze of restless eyes on the spot between the eyebrows, very gently, loosely & effortlessly.

Try to be CALMLY ACTIVE & ACTIVELY CALM inwards.

Now loosen your mind from the Consciousness of the Body Weight. Leave behind the heavy bundle of bones tied in the thick cloth of flesh. Untie the nerve strings, weighing down your soul. Drop your mind into the bottomless well of your heart, that is bubbling with life giving blood. Keep your attention tied to the heart till you feel its rhythmic beating. Meditate on this mental freedom & new ability of the soul to fly & hover up to Infinity. Imagine, dwell & dream. Transfer thy consciousness to the inner world.    

KEEP BROADCASTING TO SELF

I am happy in the Happiness of dear ones, who are on Earth or in the great beyond.

Divine Love is the Magnet that attracts all Blessings & Blessedness.

MEDITATE ON GOING HOME

I stayed long reveling with all of you dancing with my variously costumed thoughts, drinking the wine of my feelings & my mundane will. I have now forsaken the intoxication of Delusion.

Goodbye muscles, bones & bodily motions.

Farewell breath. I cast thee away from my breast.

Adieu heart throbs, emotions, thoughts & memories.

Bye-bye blue house of heaven.

So long stars, celestial celebrities & your dramas on the screen of space.

Ta-ta flowers with your traps of beauty & fragrance.

Salutations to the warm embrace of sunshine.

Leave taking from the cool soothing comforting breeze.

Cheerios entertaining music of man.

I am flying Home in a plane of Silence. I go to feel my heart throb in Him. I have always been in the sacred presence of my Father.

I was lost, Father, in the wastelands of wrong beliefs, now I can not find my way Home. Please rise on the darkness of my mental sky & be the polestar of my groping mind. Lead me to thyself, who art my Home.

DISTRACTED – START AGAIN

I close my physical eyes & dismiss the temptations of matter. I peer through the darkness of Silence until my eyes of relativity open into one inner eye of Light. When my two eyes that behold good & evil become single & behold in everything, only the divine goodness of the Creator.

GOING WITHIN

I was a prisoner carrying a heavy load of bones & flesh, but now I have broken the chains of my muscle-bound body by the power of RELAXATION. I am free now. I shall try to go within. I enter the dim corridor through the door of the Spiritual Eye & speed on until at last the river of my life flows into the Ocean of life & loses itself in Bliss.

SEEING THE PEACEFUL LIGHT WITHIN

Look at a light & close your eyes. Forget the darkness around you & watch bright red color within your eyelids. Look more intently into violet red color. Imagine it becoming bigger & bigger. You are the wave of light, a ripple of Peace floating on the surface of the sea of light. Now watch carefully the little wave tossing on the Ocean of light. A little shallow wave going wide & deep into the Ocean of Peace. Peace is the Ambrosial wine of Spirit flowing in a Drama of sad & happy dreams, on the stage of experience. Once again fix your mind inwardly between the eyebrows on the shore less lake of Peace. Watch the eternal circle of rippling peace around you spreading outwardly to the forehead, to the heart & to every cell in your body. This flood of Peace flows over the boundaries of your mind & moves in infinite directions.

LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF THE CREATOR

Listen to the cosmic sound of AUM. A great hum of countless atoms in the sensitive right side of your head. Hear its pounding Roar spreading through the brain, spine, heart & every tissue. It holds all matter in manifestation like the words of speech in your head. Matter & bodies melt into the Universe & you melt into soundless voice & sound melts into all shining light, which enters the bosom of Infinite Joy.

  

ENTERING THE WELL OF SILENCE

His laughter caught my heart. His Joy invaded my sorrowful being as I swung in a hammock beneath the pines under the blue sky. I felt the sky astir & His presence moving through me. My body became still, my power of Silence dug into my bosom, until a bottomless well of Bliss sprang up. All things in the Creation drank of me. Then satisfied they plunged into the waters of my Immortality. All melted in the Ocean of my all dissolving Silence.  

EXPANDING TO INFINITY IN ETERNITY

Eternity yawns at me below, above, in the left & on the right, in front & behind, within & without. With open eyes I behold myself as the little body. With closed eyes I perceive myself as the cosmic center around which revolves the sphere of eternity & bliss.

IN DEVOTION THEY BEG OF HIM TO TEACH

Teach me to open the gate of Meditation that alone leads to Thy blessed presence.

Teach me the mystery of my Existence, O beloved Father.

Teach me to worship Thee in breathlessness & deathlessness.

Teach me to reclaim my birth right & to live as an Immortal.

Teach me to behold Thy face in the mirror of my stillness within.

Teach me to think of Thee until Thou dost become my only Thought.

Teach me to find Thy presence on the alter of my constant Peace & in the Joy that springs from deep Meditation.

Teach me to drink the everlasting Nectar of Joy found in the Fountain of MEDITATION.

IN KNOWLEDGE / GYAN HE ACTUALLY TEACHES US

& WE MAKE THE EFFORT TO IMBIBE

I am the irresistible Fire of Smiles. I will help weeping ones to smile, by smiling myself, even when it is difficult.

I have buried / cremated dead disappointments in the cemeteries of yesterday.

I will water them with Self confidence & faith & wait for the Divine to give me the rightful harvest.

I will not become Lazy & mentally ossified.

I will not be overactive, able to earn money but unable to enjoy life.

I will Meditate to maintain true Balance.

I will perform all duties serenely & saturated with Peace.

I will light the match of Smiles so that my gloom veil will disappear. The soul is hiding behind the accumulated darkness of ages.

I will admire the good qualities of all nationalities & will not put my Attention on their Errors.

I will break the boundaries of Self Love.

I will drink Vitality from the Golden Fountain of Sunshine.

I will drink Peace from the Silver Fountain of Mooned Nights.

Today I open the door of my calmness & let the footsteps of Silence gently enter the temple of all my activities.

Today I will sow the seeds of Wisdom, health, prosperity & Happiness.

I saturate myself with the perfume of Thy presence & I wait to Waft with the breeze, the Aroma of Thy Message of LOVE to all.

  EARTH GUIDED ONLY - EGO

What stops us from changing?  Why we refuse to change?  It is our own EGO that comes in our way of progress, way for betterment and new life. It is the root of all evils. Ego stands for Earth Guided Only. The opposite of Ego is soul consciousness. It is our attachment to the wrong beliefs about us. It is the false center. We put on a mask of restlessness over our real nature of calmness. We go about masquerading, all our lives with passion. We are intoxicated with ego feeling, agitated state of consciousness, resulting in stimuli of feelings, hence covering the bliss. Ego lives on attention. It feels hungry, deep begging for attention. It is all about me, me and I. All misery enters through ego. Two egos clash because both are not confident of themselves. You are a little spark and yet you extol yourself. I am the owner of the Universe. In reality you do not own anything on the Earth, let alone own the Universe. Ego is home made, fabricated, self manufactured and ugly of course, since it is man-made. We are afraid of being alone, lonely. Hence we invent illusions, TV, clubs, conferences, sects, churches, crowd, and parties, to procrastinate the effort to look inside. This is our self hypnosis through others, attention from others. 

If you are hurt inside with one’s insinuation – it is ego.

If one’s behavior causes you pain – it is ego.

If you speak loudly, and shout to get your point across – it is ego.

If you want to control your children & the world – it is ego.

If you are pointing the index finger and giving orders – it is ego.

If you are worried and anxious for things – it is ego.

If you are suffering and miserable most of the time – it is ego.

If you are generally angry at the world situations – it is ego.

  

AN EMPEROR HAS BIG EGO

One day in the land of Mongolia an emperor Aurangzeb was praying in darkness in a mosque. He was telling the lord, I am nobody. But unfortunately he was not alone in the mosque. There was another common man praying too beside the emperor and he too was saying the same prayer, I am nobody.  At once the Emperor Aurangzeb’s ego, flared up. Who dare say the same prayer? The emperor punished the common man, one of his own subject’s with death by beheading in public, for praying with him and saying the same stuff. The emperor could not tolerate such a simple act. Most people have very low ignition point, and they flare up very quickly over, anything trivial. Ego is hell, misery, and suffering.

THE SUBTLE EGO OF BEING HUMBLE

This is very fine line that most of the old people walk or take up. Their Ego wants to continue even after their DEATH. They insist that the public & grand children remember them for ever. BUT WHY. They will do all kinds of acts of kindness in their old age just to be in the good books of their near & dear ones. They are additionally looking & hoping for a long FUNERAL PROCESSION when they die. This thought makes them happy now. But the big question is HOW would they know that fact when they lying dead in the coffin.  Paradoxically if you have lived a long healthy life & out lived most of your colleagues then who is left behind to attend your funeral, yet you have high expectations for a long long funeral, from the young ones who do not know you enough. Gentlemen & gentle ladies, beware of this foolish expectation cum wish.    

EGO CAN DESTROY YOU

                                   

A well established mature psychiatrist had a solid practice in Los Angeles. One day he was approached by a very beautiful lady, Tyrell for help and consultation. As she walks in to his clinic and the doctor goes flying off the floor. He is totally knocked off by the captivating charm and beauty of our lady patient. He could not control himself. He approaches the lady, hugs her straight away, kisses her and excuses himself for the act on his part. Madame Tyrell, that was my problem, now what is your problem? The lady patient slapped the doctor and sued him for 10 million dollars. The doctor was ruined just because of his ego. Ego gets you into trouble, hence beware, be extra careful.

TEACHERS HAVE BLOATED EGOS

Thomas is a self made man and very ambitious person. He has an extremely bloated ego, which often gets him into trouble and arguments, generally over trifles. Unfortunately he ties the knot with another like minded woman, Taylor through arranged marriage by their elders. Taylor is highly egoistic too and has a very good command on the English language. This makes her egotistic too. We now have the perfect recipe for a life long misery, with two bloated egos under the same roof. It is life long, because divorce is considered a taboo in their culture. Their valued jobs as teachers help them make a fortune, by saving up and not spending on the joys of life. They also make a couple of children, but the quality of life is far from harmonious at home. The uncompromising Thomas, toils and works without stopping for vacations, and ends up with a couple of blood related diseases, including a heart bye pass surgery and diabetes. The public-ally respected Taylor, takes all the beating and hardships on herself, suppressing all her emotions and dreams, consequently ends up with breathing and mouth related diseases including a full blown asthma. This is how egos get you down on your knees, when you want to stand up erect. Both of them suffer from acute arthritis affecting their knee joints specially. This is cosmic energy’s way of indicating to egoistic people, to be humble in life and dealings with loved ones.   

  MONSTER OF EGO

Choice gives you options, but it is accompanied by tensions. This one or that one! Ego comes into play. Duality is created by the mind. In the beginning there is no distinction. Then my toys and your toys! Where to live?  In the hills or in the valley! A huge dilemma cannot make up your mind. Are you for sex & promiscuity or against sex and celibacy? Either way you are in anxiety. When you are in one of them, the grass seems greener on the other side of the fence. Are you for Jesus Christ and Christianity or Anti-Jesus Christ and against Christianity? Well there is still another option available to you, which is being neutral or indifferent to Christ and Christianity. Choose, to wake up from slumber, deep hypnosis or continue sleeping. Few people try consciously to develop the potentials of mind, body and soul. Rest are purely victims of circumstances, of past.  

AWARENESS CAN TAME IT

How do we escape this monster of Ego?  Just drop it, simple! It is easy to say but difficult to do it. The only sure way out is Awareness. You have to be dangerously aware, alert 24/7. Alertness is intensity. Try being as alert as if you are walking a high 12 inch narrow rope bridge over a gigantic ravine or river. The wind is swaying the rope bridge and death is at your heels every step you take towards your destination across the river. This is the highest level of awareness you have ever had or will have when you attempt to venture on such a trip. Therefore become intensely aware of this monster Ego and watch it dropping off, disappearing, and finally gone. Of course hard work is required on your part first, before you can see some results.

Humility is a Healing Herb - Humble people stay healthy, rarely fall sick.

LIFE CAN BE A BED OF ROSES
 
It was a very hot sunny day. People were pouring into the Rose Garden from all corners of the city of Chandigarh, India. They were drawn in to a feast of the multi-colored blossoming rose flowers like, bees to a honey comb. The over powering fragrances were being sniffed & inhaled consciously by all. It made them forget their past troublesome world for sometime, since they were in the NOW moment. They were totally unaware of their own Original Divine Fragrances inside them, locked in, waiting to be discovered & uncorked. Soft instrumental music was being piped through the network of insitu speakers.

GATHERING OF THE MINDS
 
Sharp at noon time, the music stops & a sweet feminine voice of the MC  comes on.  Ruchi wishes everyone a very  warm afternoon. FACULTY & STUDENT TASKS
 
Every Soul is admitted in this planet school with two specific TASKS in hand. To be a faculty member means to teach  very important specialty of yours to the world. To be a student member means to learn something new from this world before you depart. After the completion of the first task it is time to move on to the second task. The underlying point regarding learning is to UNLEARN the the wrong, harmful acquired stuff that we souls invariably pick up on our way to growing up. The Pure soul comes with its Innate Divine Virtues of Truth, Knowledge, Purity, Peace. Power, Love & Bliss. When the Unlearning has been done then teaching by EXAMPLE becomes very easy & simple, no additional effort on your part. These Seven Virtues will automatically shine & radiate from the face & persona of the soul.   You teach by INFLUENCING other souls with your Vibrations, fragrances & smiles. Words & speech are superfluous at his  elevated stage. This is the advanced system of accurate teaching by the Learned faculty soul. The effort needed, is in your BEING, an Easy Yogi.   

SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS  & THE  KINGMAKER
 
At this point you should have shed off your acquired Sanskars of Vices, Ego, Lust, Trespasses, Body consciousness of dressing up only to look good outwardly in the eyes of others, & desires of gluttony. To do all of the above on your own is a tall order to ask for, from a weak soul. Therefore Divine help in the form of Raja Yoga arrives at this auspicious Confluence Age: the end of the previous cycle & beginning of the next cycle. Raja Yoga means Union with the Supreme Soul. Weak souls learn to connect with HIM & draw upon His Unlimited Power to charge up their depleted batteries, if they choose to. The Kingmaker helps us attain Self Sovereignty over our runaway minds, thus making us into Kings from slaves. Now as Kings we Give & Give unconditionally Love & riches. A king impresses others & does not get impressed by anyone.  We finally learn the biggest lesson of life - CHOICELESSNESS. Neither desiring this nor that.   THE UNIVERSE IS EVER EVOLVING EXPANDING CHANGING

In a quantum world change is inevitable. It is the norm. It is very natural and has been happening all the time, ever since the time began. The whole universe is evolving, changing every moment. It continues to evolve, expand outward like a loaf of bread rising in your kitchen oven. What is the Milky Way made up of?  To your surprise it is made up of very stupid and unfeeling stuff called gases. Hydrogen, Helium and a couple of other gases are responsible for all the art work in the sky and beyond the Milky Way. They are reacting very violently, fusing together like we couples do in our bed rooms, exploding out in the most dangerous fashions, spewing out harmful radioactive dusts. That is the reason why our Milky Way is so many millions of light years away from these volcanoes of the sky.  No life as we know is possible in such a toxic environment. The Sun and the Earth have been evolving since 45,000 million years and will continue to do so for another such a long time span.

ON THIS VAST NEVER ENDING UNIVERSE --- YOU ARE HERE !!

There are two kinds of galaxies up there: Dwarf galaxies, milky-way galaxies which are always expanding & Andromeda galaxies which never expand. Large cluster galaxies do attract dust, gases, grains, rocks, asteroids and grow into planets only to get smashed up again and again. Cosmic smash up is giving birth to billions of new stars all the time. Dark energy is anti-matter and comprises up to 80 % of the universes total energy. High velocity and extremely high temperatures help generate luminous blasts, supernovas and cosmic artwork lasting for mere 2 to 5 seconds. Circular motion of manifested matter is responsible for powerful forces of gravity around most planets. 

This is the Star Factory.......ever exploding. We are a very small part of One of the MILK-WAY GALAXY in our Solar system.

Can you picture yourself leading a normal life while riding a roller coaster. Well I say it is possible. Standing firmly on our planet Earth we are very fortunate to be alive, stable & safe for hundreds of centuries, leading normal lives as if the planet Earth was STATIONARY, but the truth is otherwise.

The Earth at the equator is rotating and spinning us at 1000 mph, counter clockwise.

The Earth is simultaneously running around the Sun at 67,000 mph, clockwise.

Together the Sun & the Earth are jogging at 43,000 mph around the core of our Solar system. 

In addition our Solar system is racing around the Milky way at 500,000 mph.

Finally the Milky way galaxy itself is additionally sprinting at 600,000 mph around another core point in the giant universe. 

At such high speeds and velocities traversing in FIVE DIMENSIONS we are the source of generating Cosmic energy. We are bound to crash head on, one day and disintegrate into star dust and start all over again. This goes to show that we are always at a new spot, all of our life time, just like the ever moving star ship Enterprize.

Now picture  the level of FRAGILITY of your lone life, on this lone planet racing amidst the star dust. Surely someone is piloting & guiding our SHIP through dense toxic Cosmic Astral Maze.

YOUR EVOLUTION AS A BEING FROM A SPERM & OVA

Everything on Earth is changing and evolving too. You too have evolved from a mere love thought and manifested into liquid form of sperm and egg. From liquid state, you further evolved into solid form of a fetus. In just nine months you changed to a living infant with a beating heart and breathing lungs. Mothers’ milk took you to a baby and toddler. You never stopped growing up and leaped into an adolescent, teenager, graduating to a young person, and an adult. The rough world environment helped you age quickly to an old person and one day you return back into invisible form of yours, the original one, while your body will be returned to the womb of the Earth for recycling. Life, the physical manifestation is the mid-point of the total cycle. The beginning and the end are invisible.

IT’S ALL TEMPORARY & SHORT LIVED

Everything is temporary, transient, and short lived in this ever evolving universe.  We are like traffic on the highways, or in Times Square, very temporary for a short span of 90 years. But sadly we are always looking for permanent things in life. Life long jobs, ever lasting relationships, permanent addresses, and the list goes on. How tragic? How much out of tune and alignment are we with the flow of nature, and the laws of the universe? The answer is, very much out of tune.

CHANGE YOUR SELF NOT THE WORLD

Life is a flux, ever changing. Therefore change yourself, not the world. You can never change the universe. It is huge, beyond your power and comprehension. Change the cause because, you are the cause. You started the chain of events. Hence change yourself. Life echoes back at you. Life is to be conquered. You need intelligence and strategy to win wars and battles of ever changing scenarios.

GO WITH THE FLOW

A flowing river cannot be stopped, so just go with the flow. It is stupidity to stop the flow of water in a river. Be friendly. If you cling on to life, and beliefs, you are heading for disaster, frustration, misery. Intelligence lies in not clinging, but being unattached and that is how you create bliss. As a system of intelligence functioning, there are five senses. All our experiences are coded in these five senses. But the world we experience is not outside us. It is only, We. We do not react to world out there but to the PERCEPTION of it. Perception is something we build. Since we build it, we can change it. Reality happens through YOU and TO YOU.

Personally, I welcome change with open arms without any fear. I moved to Margarita in Assam North East of India in pursuit of my first job after finishing my Production Engineering from Chandigarh. Within one year I again moved to Faridabad Delhi as Chief industrial Engineer in a Plastics firm. Two years later I shifted to Calcutta in a brand new field of Aluminum. Three years more and again I was packing up for Jamshedpur the best steel town of India, with a job in Industrial Engineering. I went on to stay in Tata Steel for long 25 years. Here too I was the most rotated engineer in the company to enrich myself with all aspects of the company from underground coal mining to open cast mining and port operations. I enjoyed every minute of my work at all places. Finally I moved to Canada a totally new environment & culture, yet managed pretty well, by HIS grace.

Their valued jobs as teachers help them make a fortune, by saving up and not spending on the joys of life. They also make a couple of children, but the quality of life is far from harmonious at home. The uncompromising Thomas, toils and works without stopping for vacations, and ends up with a couple of blood related diseases, including a heart bye pass surgery and diabetes. The socially respected Taylor, takes all the beating and hardships on herself, suppressing all her emotions and dreams, consequently ends up with breathing and mouth related diseases including a full blown asthma. EMOTIONAL SWEEPING, VACUUMING / WASHING

This is a very powerful technique for metamorphism. The old beaten soul and body has to take a rebirth, just like the eagle, for you to survive in the harsh social order. Put on loose clothing, lie down on the floor and relax with your eyes closed. Breathe deeply with complete awareness. With your eyes still closed imagine and see you’re self in the mirror of the ceiling. Spot light all the negative emotions in your auras and project them on to the ceiling.                     

IMAGINARY BROOM & DUST PAN

Pick up an imaginary broom in your hand and sweep up all those bad toxic, negative, emotions that were troubling you since your childhood. Now pick up a dust pan in the second hand and collect the swept trash into it. Alternatively you could suck up all your emotional trash with the help of a portable hand held vacuum. Once this is done you will feel light and refreshed. After a couple of attempts you can master this art and do it whenever you feel weighed down. What you asked for in your affirmations should manifest quickly. If it does not, then it is not meant to be. Therefore let go and move on. Do not cling on like a blood sucking leach. We are in a period of instant manifestation, so it will happen soon or will not.

WE EXIST IN A GIANT COSMIC GRID - EVER FLUID & ADJUSTABLE

When the soul is ready for new beginning, it will adjust the grid of your behavior to prepare for what, is to come. Remember that we exist as projections in a programmed grid. Grid adjustments happen all the time. You move into READINESS MODE. Observe your transformation process of healing and change.

Personally, I prefer to soap up my invisible body, when I am inside a shower, see and feel the negative emotions slipping down with the force of the shower water into the drain of the bath tub. After shower I dry myself very slowly & thoroughly making myself new. I step out of the bath tub with total awareness of a cleansed & fragrant self ready to start living afresh.

   ACKNOWLEDGE & FORGIVE

Acknowledge, acknowledge and celebrate your healing. The patterns, the expectancy of pain reoccurring in your life are very high, because we are stuck deep into the patterns of mistakes, faults, and wrongs. I am wrong, when people get upset. I doubt myself when criticized or challenged. I acknowledge that I have been active, although unconscious participant in the creation of pain and discomfort in my life and life of others. I acknowledge that I have been angry with myself and experienced fear or not told the truth. Now, I forgive everyone and myself. I realize that I am valuable, worthy, and lovable.                                              

SELF LOVE FIRST - BECAUSE YOU ARE THE LOVE YOU SEEK

I want to heal myself and eliminate all false beliefs. I understand that people did not love me because I did not know how to love myself. Look into the mirror and say the unsaid: I love you, I love you, then pronounce your name. Honor yourself. Learn to trust and tell the truth. Honor what you feel by saying it, the way you want to hear it-say it honestly and your job is done. The truth and the teacher are same thing and located within you. “I am the love, I seek.”                                                              

KILL THE OLD SELF - BECOME ANEW  

Write a love letter to your old self, you own ego. Release it from all contracts and relationships and burn it. Dig a hole in your back yard and bury it with all the pictures of earlier days. It is just a symbolic gesture of death and closure of past bygones. Recapitulate all the important lessons often:

It is OK to make mistakes.

It is important to try.

I can change and be flexible.

I am capable just as others are capable.

I can handle it when things go wrong.

I don’t have to control things.

I am responsible for my day.

Everybody does not have to love me.                              

Go out and buy a bouquet of yellow roses for yourself and celebrate the new you. These yellow flowers will remind you every day about the magical change in you for the next fourteen days.
