Water is the real Botox for anti-aging.

At the beginning of the stone age, there were no doctors, medicines or hospitals. So very intelligently THE Creator placed the DOCTOR & THE MEDICINE inside us. Our ancestors had INNATE wisdom, rarely fell sick, & devised effective & powerful home remedies for just in case times. They knew that the doctor is inside them as SPIRITUAL ENERGY & this body is the world’s best PHARMACY that has no match. Every part of our body has great significance in our short lives & it is for us to grasp its implied meaning. 


WATERY VENICE - INSIDE OUR BODIES

Our body is unique, like the city of Venice, where the highways for all movement are watery. In Venice we have complex interconnected systems of channels, canals and parking lots, all made up of water and water alone. If the water level in this maze was to go down by a couple of inches the water taxis, boats and canoes would get stuck in the sand and traffic would come to a halt. If the water was allowed to thicken up by pollution, then again, the traffic would be affected badly, just as happens in our bodies. 

DRINK BUT DO NOT DILUTE 

Prevention is better than cure. Drink lots and lots of water, but very slowly, sip by sip. At least four liters of water per day: But, not with meals or food. If you do, then you dilute the digestive juices and acids. These enzymes, juices, and acids are required in full strength to break down the food you eat, quickly and effectively. But when you consume water or other liquids alongside food you are upsetting the chemical balance, inside the stomach. The human body is basically an alkaline body. Maintaining the correct PH is of prime importance. If you keep the alkalinity between 7.4 and 8.0 then you can expect to live longest. 

           

WATER RETENTION BY THE BODY

Water is retained by the human body as follows: 66% inside the cells, 26 % outside the cells, and balance 8% in our blood. The body begins to retain more & more water when it senses that the input has been reduced or slowed down. This is how the body weight goes up, when you want it to go down. The more you drink the more your body will expel out freely. 

 

WATER AS A SOLVENT FOR SOLUTES

Water is required to back wash the salts deposited in the stomach lining.  Water is needed to manufacture complex hormones, by your glands in the body. Therefore, drink lots of water before meals. Water is required to keep your blood fluid flowing. Water is required as a solvent to regulate all solutes and functions in the body. Enzymes work more efficiently in solutions of high viscosity. The preferred ratio is 25 % solute in a solution.

 

REPLENISH WINTER STEAM

Water is needed to replenish the winter steam, the moisture that escapes from your blood stream with every breadth.  A small clot, a microscopic obstruction or buildup in the arteries could be fatal.

Also remember to breathe through your nose when you go deep breathing. 70 % of the people are mouth breathers. They breathe in cold dirty air into the lungs and blood stream creating more problems. Most importantly nose breathing generates NITRIC OXIDE gas, which gets dissolved in the blood and helps to dilate the microscopic capillaries and vessels when it reaches out in the remote and difficult body parts, especially the brain.

To clarify matters, Heart has a superior Brain. The mind has QUESTIONS, the heart has ANSWERS. The mind WONDERS, the heart is always HOME. BRAIN too is a sensory organ.  But where is the MIND.  What feeds the Mind is the INTELLECT - Which can be either Sharp or Dull. Generally dull & shut off by default.  


HEART – A SENSORY ORGAN

Our heart is also a sensory organ and compliments the Autonomic nervous system. The feelings of disgust, frustration, bring up jagged and irregular heart rhythms.  These rhythms interface with the brain’s higher centers, affecting how we feel, think, perceive and perform, of course, very poorly. This is cortical inhibition. This pattern of signals tells the brain that all is chaotic. Such an excess of mental and emotional noise in the brain causes it to go into overload. It is this overload that interferes with our capacity for paying attention, learning, remembering important details and maintaining our mental stability. 

                

HEART IS THE UNERRING PART OF THE BRAIN    

On the other hand, when our heart experiences loving, appreciative, positive feelings, it sends out smooth and harmonious rhythms to the brain. This is “cortical facilitation”. This results in faster reaction times, and we can think more clearly. We can see more options and solutions to our problems and situations that we would otherwise not have been able to see.

We can learn to switch negativity to positivity by consciously attempting to do so. Breathe slowly and deeply through the area of the heart. We are so busy chasing valueless stuff, money, cars, houses, possessions, false images, temporary fame, name, that we forget to drink enough water and hydrate ourselves to keep the blood thin and flowing easily. So, what happens is just the opposite. The persistent neglect of hydration month after month and year after year, gets us dehydrated heavily, making the blood thick and sticky, just like honey. It refuses to flow. Also, lifetime of unhealthy eating, bad habits, and shallow judgments makes our blood highly toxic, very viscous and thick additionally.

I call it suicide: A slow silent deliberate killing. The surface area inside the lungs is 2500 square feet, equal to the area of a lawn tennis court.

We inhale just 100 to 500 cc of air in every breath compared to the capacity of 5000 cc. Imagine human beings using only 10 % of their lung capacities. The lower 40% stale air inside the lungs is never expelled out. It stays inside and causes local pollution in our blood. The residual air is the primary pollutant. The upper 40% of extra air of our total lung capacity is never used up. We never breathe in or inhale this part. Hence by and large most of us operate between 40% - 60% range or less. This is very poor performance on our part. It does not make sense if you work hard, make lots of money, eat richly, dress lavishly, but have dirty toxic blood running in your arteries. Does it make any sense? NO! Never, hence be aware of the delicate internal world, instead of being foolishly aware of outside worldly stuff. It does not help you in any way.

How you breathe is another big factor in your survival. We are normally mouth breathers, taking in all the dust, microbes, and pollutants. The cold dirty air hits our throats and larynx, causing it to dry up in the process. Nature gave us a nose for a reason. We rarely use it fully, and if we did, we would benefit tremendously. The nose heats up the incoming air, cleans it and bypasses the throat area. But you have got to be first conscious of this fact then and then only it becomes possible. A clean nose is a prerequisite, which is a rarity. The nose has another very important function to play when we inhale. The Nitric oxide gas producing glands work only when we use our noses. This gas is fully soluble in blood. It helps dilate the microscopic capillaries and allows the blood to reach the smallest crevices in our body which are buried deep under thick layers of fat. When this does not happen, the cells atrophy and die, and cancer starts to build up. It is all in your hands, or in your nose power to live incrementally or die slowly. There is yet another function of your heart. Can you guess this one? It is an important function, and you know it from day one. It is LOVE. We all love products. When two people, our parents made love, we were born. In the initial years, we get so much love that you cannot measure or keep track of. Both parents shower love on their children initially. Later, things go wrong, and we start replacing love with material things, toys, possessions and other loveless pursuits. Then more things go wrong, and we are loaded with hate & hatred.

CUDDLING strengthens the frontal lobe of the human brain, the region of the brain responsible for how you react to EMOTIONAL stress. A great relationship is about two things: First, appreciating the similarities, and second, respecting the differences. All that hate is nothing but love in disguise. Loving hate dismantles what is truly inside. Pleasure with one body has diminishing returns. Biology is more for procreation & less for continued pleasure. Marital hate between two bodies is inevitable in marriage.

To get back into ‘love mode’ we must again start loving ourselves first. Love our bodies; love ourselves correctly, and intelligently. If I come to your house and ask for a glass of water, how can you serve me a glass of water when your own pitcher or fridge is empty? So, the secret is to love yourself enough, and fill up your “pitcher”. When you are totally filled with love then and then only you can love another person. Today when you tell a woman, I love you; it sounds hollow, its meaningless and a false promise. 
Absence of love brings in all the other terrible negative EMOTIONS which cause havoc in our bodies. These emotions disturb the delicate balance of hormone production and cause cancers, diseases and death. There are 200 varied emotions and corresponding 200 diseases. People who love themselves truly do not smoke, drink alcohol, or overeat, and remain vegetarians by and large, eating salt and sugar in moderation only. Food does kill and heal as well. Today we even conduct our jogging, exercises and work outs in indoor gymnasiums, sharing the polluted air. This is how we make the dirty blood dirtier, defeating the purpose of exercise. How is the government’s health care plan going to help you, I wonder?

LIFE is a splash of color between the WOMB & TOMB.

THESE PEOPLE OF BAD HABITS & SHALLOW JUDGEMENTS DO NOT DESERVE A BEAUTIFUL & ANOTOMICAL STRUCTURE AS THE HUMAN BODY. THEY DESERVE MERELY A SACK TO PUT IN FOOD & LET IT OUT AGAIN. 


The anatomical structure is so wonderful, that it resembles a miracle in action. Let me ask you a dumb question at this stage. How old is your body? Mind you, I am not asking your AGE. It is, believe me, very young, brand new.  If the body, your hardware, is brand new, then what constitutes your age.  It is your software, memory, education, thinking patterns, beliefs, convictions, and superstitions, brought forward of course. The outer covers are old and ancient while the inner core is always brand new.

 

 

BACTERIAL RELAY RACE WITH NO EXPIRY

 

Our human bodies are made up of hundreds of different types of cells: liver cells, brain cells, heart cells, bone cells, skin cells. In every organ at any point in time millions of cells are dying and the exact same number of new cells is being born, anew. In other words, our body resembles a graveyard, or a battlefield to be more precise. This implies that there is an extreme urgency to get rid of the dead cells quickly or else they will decay and become toxic, like the dead bodies in a battlefield. Thus, there exists a very fine balance which must be maintained in every category of our organs. What does this explain?  In a very short period, the whole organ is replaced by brand new cells, and this is an ongoing process, for as long as you live.

 

 

PRETTY SKILLFUL AT BIRTH

 

Can you imagine how skillful and resourceful you are even at birth, from day one? The things we can do from the womb: suck, swallow, sneeze, stretch, salivate, hiccup, yawn, blink, cry and grip, which is strong enough to support your own weight. There are numerous miracles happening, inside our bodies all the time: breathing, digesting, dilating pupils, adjusting lumen, altering blood pressure, maintaining temperature, sorting out nourishing elements from the air, growing new cells, balancing hormones, repairing, purifying toxins, and remaining alive during sleep or worried situations.   

 


TWO BODIES MAKE ONE HUMAN BEING

In essence, what exactly is our human structure? It is 70 % WATER, and 130 % ATTITUDE. When you error on any one component of any of two bodies, you upset the equation. You play with water and forget to hydrate your body reducing it to 60 % or less, you have slowed down the traffic movement inside the body affecting all functions. When you toy with attitude, which is in the majority, you are in serious trouble again. The negative attitudes produce steroids and excessive hormones in the blood stream upsetting the chemical balance. These two forces put together are almost lethal, if not fatal. Negative emotions are solely responsible for producing a key hormone ACTH. They call it MAD disease. It forces the body to over produce Adrenal hormones, which further help flood the poor body, with Cortisone. This is explosive, and it blows up the heart. ACTH is also responsible for converting your valuable proteins into unwanted sugars wholesale, instead of making, most needed Amino Acids. Truckloads of sugar in your body need tons of insulin, which is not happening, nor possible.

 

HUMILITY & HAPPINESS ARE REAL MEDICINES 

Happy and positive emotions control the production of another key hormone known as STH, which further controls the functioning of pancreas and insulin production. People with the highest levels of STH live the longest because it helps burn up fat inside the body. Leaner bodies survive longer and better. More fat in the body gives a signal to hypothalamus to release less Growth hormone to the pituitary gland. Thus, less STH is released for the pancreas, which is programmed to give out copious amounts of Insulin, unless throttled and ordered not to do so. More Insulin for the sugars leads to more weight and hence more sugar intake and less activity and exercise. In old age, increased rate of Protein synthesis affects sodium, potassium and calcium metabolism. Carbohydrates are converted into fat & are available for energy into bone, muscle, & tissues

SPECTRUM OF HEALTH

 

The topmost rung on the ladder of health is that of VIBRANT HEALTH. This is attained by a select few who venture very hard in the field of Elevated thoughts, regular meditation, & Raja yoga. Saints, yogis, carefree uninhibited toddler children, belong in this beautiful category.  

One rung down takes us to OPTIMUM HEALTH. People in this category are very much conscious of their physical bodies & wish to stay in perfect shape most of their lives. Actors, singers, musicians, athletes, fall into this category of mania for good physique. They earn millions through the display of their bodies & skills. They also spend at least two hours every day in the gym, rain or shine & eat frugally exercising total discipline in all aspects of their living.

The next rung down on the ladder of health is APPARENT HEALTH. We think we are healthy enough, but realistically we are not. Mere absence of disease is not good enough for us.

The lowest rung of the ladder is Ill HEALTH. This is a serious matter, but the cause is very much in our control if we choose to do so. If we hang onto this rung any longer, we get closer to our graves sooner.

 

 

GETTING A GRASP ON METABOLISM

 

ORTHOREXIA means an obsession with eating foods that one considers healthy. A person systematically avoids specific foods he believes to be harmful, hence this tool helps you out of the predicament of selecting the most congenial ones. Right Nutrition is required to keep us in a perpetual state of health. We need to pay attention to Nutrition since it has its share of Must dos, should dos and Could dos. One of the Must dos is to focus on the metabolism of Carbs & Sugar.

SUGAR IS FUEL FOR CELLS BUT A KILLER TOO

SUGAR is the basic fuel for all cells to function. Sugar is required by every cell of the body. The cell allows sugar to enter only if it is accompanied with Insulin. Thats the norm. Sometimes there is a metabolic disorder. Either the Pancreas does not produce adequate Insulin, or the cells do not accept Insulin. Either way, man suffers. The disease is called Diabetes. Some diseases affect isolated parts of the body. Diabetes affects all organs adversely. When cells do not accept sugar, the sugar gets left behind in the blood. Sugar is required in the cells and is good for them. Sugar in the blood is bad for an organism. The double attack on you is that the lack of sugar in the cells makes you sick. The excess of sugar in the blood makes you sicker. You have a compound problem on your hands. It may be hereditary. You have no control over it. It may be triggered by varied circumstances, beyond your control. There is no known cure for it. Treatment is not cure. Cure means no more medication. You have only one way out. Focus on your nutrition. Focus on what you eat. There are many aspects to focus on, but the number one place must be given to the monitoring of your blood glucose. And how can you do that? By controlling what you eat. How much you eat. What is the quality of the food you eat. What is its Glycemic index and consequently how much is the Glycemic load on the body. Recording your blood sugar and analyzing the results. And, and then, modifying your eating habits. Watch the trend. The actual reading is not so important. The trend will tell you how you can modify your eating.

 

GLYCEMIC INDEX & GLYCEMIC LOAD RELATIONSHIP

GI tells you how rapidly the food has been metabolized into glucose. It is the speed at which the carbs have been converted to glucose. GI is a number only. Pure Glucose is represented by the number 100. GL tells you how much glucose you have consumed. GL represents the quantity. It is also represented by numbers. GL should not exceed 100 in one day. In nutrition, this is the only figure where all the world is unanimous. The aim is to make us aware of a relation between what we eat and the Glycemic Load of that food. Then lead us to see the pattern & relation between the glycemic load and blood sugar. It is a trend you must observe & take remedial action to bring back the blood sugar to normal. The remedy, of course, is the change in what you eat. Nature provides sugar in all foods. Yes. All foods. Without exception, including bitter gourd. Even if you do not eat any white sugar at all, you still consume sugar in the foods you eat.

The efficiency of your metabolism is reflected by a parameter known as HbA1c. This test is normally done in a laboratory.
It represents the average sugar that attaches itself to the blood. Blood cells have a life of about 120 days, after which they die and are replaced by new cells. So, we take the average for about 90 days. The test results are shown in a percentage. From this percentage, the average is calculated. But we can reverse the process and calculate the HbA1c from the average. We can record the blood sugar reading and calculate the HbA1c from the average of the last 90 days.

 

BLOOD PRESSURE HAS THREE READINGS

The ideal readings should be U/L/PP: 140/80/40.
The Upper reading, U, indicates the pressure at which the heart pumps the blood. It is this pressure that Sodium increases.
Sodium decreases the elasticity of the arteries. The pressure rises further. The heart must increase the effort to make the blood reach the brain and all the capillaries. The immediate effect is that it can cause a burst in the circulatory system or a stroke in the brain. In the long run it will lead to a heart attack, a stroke in the brain or chronic kidney disease. A low systolic pressure causes inadequate blood flow to the heart, brain and other vital organs.
The Lower reading, L, is the residual pressure during the time that the heart rests. Sodium increases this too, but not that much. But reduction of sodium in the body by salt excretion, caused by high Potassium, is directly related to lowering diastolic pressure. Potassium leaches Sodium out of the body, effectively reducing the sodium, thus lowering BP, diastolic more than the systolic.

Pulse Pressure. It is the difference between U and L. It’s ideal value is 40. It is important because a higher or a lower pulse pressure than normal means that your heart and or your circulatory system are in danger. Any reading above or below 40 is an early warning, much before the actual danger strikes. Therefore, pay heed and monitor this aspect carefully. A reading of 40 means your heart is working optimally. A reading higher than 40, wide pressure, means either your heart is working harder, or your arteries are less flexible or both. Either way, they increase your risk of heart and circulatory problems, especially heart attack or stroke. A reading lower than 40, Narrow pulse pressure, means the circulatory system does not have adequate pressure. It can cause heart failure due to decreased pumping, blood loss, due to decreased blood volume, aortic stenosis due to reduced stroke volume, and cardiac tamponade due to decreased filling time.

SODIUM & POTASSIUM RELATIONSHIP

Sodium and Potassium are complementary bedfellows. Sodium regulates the amount of water outside the cells. Potassium regulates the water inside the cells. The two maintain a balance for the proper functioning of the metabolism.  A ratio of 1:3 is essential. A little higher than that would be even better. Our grandfathers had a ratio of more than 1:10. Sodium rules and when in excess, determines the bad effects, immediately, daily. Although 500 mg is adequate for a human for a day, the world over, the advice is to consume no more than 1500 mg per day. If you cross 2300 mg per day you have stepped into toxicity. High Potassium does not produce immediate side effects. It affects the heart in the long run. 3000 mg per day per adult is considered adequate. Anything more than 4700 mg per day is too much. Most people consume too much Sodium and too little Potassium. Sodium should be between 1000 mg to 1500 mg. Potassium should be between 3000 mg to 4700 mg. They are two important ingredients of our diet. They control the fluid balance of the body. Excess Sodium will cause Constipation,
Water retention, Hypertension and an increased heart rate. Potassium will improve the peristaltic action of the intestines, cure constipation, leach sodium out of the system, bring down hypertension and remove the excess water from the body. Their ratio is critical for the efficient functioning of the human body.  We must consume at least four times more Potassium than Sodium.

EFFECTS OF SODIUM & POTASSIUM ON METABOLISM

High Sodium intake, by itself, as a standalone actor, will cause High BP, Constipation, Dehydration, Water Retention and consequent Weight Gain daily. Effects of high sodium on one day last for about 4 to 5 days. One or all these symptoms will make you feel sick.
Low Sodium will become evident when there is Nausea, Fatigue, Headache, Weakness, Twitching, Muscle Cramps, Hypothyroidism, Hypoglycemia, Excessive sweating and Mental Delirium.
A correspondingly high Potassium intake will lessen the bad effects of high Sodium. It leaches out excess Sodium and excretes it through the urination process. But, high Potassium, by itself, is manifested by Nausea, Weakness, Numbness, Paralysis, Arrhythmia, Bradycardia, Cardiac arrest, Tingling in the extremities and slow week irregular pulse. Kidneys may be damaged by an overdose of Potassium.
And how can one get an overdose. Simple, by an overdose of coconut water. A low Potassium intake will lead to Arrhythmia, Water retention, Muscle Cramps, Chronic Arthritis, High BP, Discomfort in Chest and Weakness.
Bottom line, if You want to be cheerful & active, reduce SALT & increase POTASSIUM.  

 

CONSTIPATION / EVACUATION

Normal health means at least one complete bowel motion every day. Complete means complete, period. You must feel that your colon is completely empty. Constipation occurs when you eat too much salt aka Sodium. Your body sucks up water from your intestines to help compensate for the extra salt in your bloodstream. This is one way your body works to bring its salt concentration back to normal, but unfortunately, it leads to constipation.
