The Sattvic diet is a high fiber, low fat vegetarian diet
that many yoga enthusiasts follow. In the practice of yoga, there are
three types of foods that have varying qualities and health effects: sattvic,
rajasic, and tamasic. The word SATTVIC means
pure essence, with high intake of micronutrients which helps in balancing of
Doshas, offering feelings of calmness, happiness, and mental clarity. Rajasic foods are described as overly
stimulating. Tamasic foods are
believed to increase weakness & laziness. Sattvic diets are rich in fresh,
nutrient-dense foods, low in processed foods, including fruits, vegetables,
sprouted whole grains, fresh fruit juices, legumes, nuts, seeds, and herbal
teas.

Squatting position on the floor. Next better option is Sitting cross legged on the floor. The food platter may be about 6 inches
above the ground. The Dining Table &
Chair is a big Taboo. Get rid of this eye sore. Way out - Sit cross legged on the dining
Chair itself & eat on the Table.
CONFLICTING FOODS ARE A

& complete food by itself, when ingested alone. Limited quantities are recommended,
specially at nighttime. When Milk is combined
with other foods it becomes POISON. Milk & Yoghurt. Milk & Gud. Milk & Onion. Milk & Jackfruit, Sour fruits. Honey & Ghee. Urad/Vada, split dals & Yoghurt
GHEE/CLARIFIED
BUTTER IS MEDICINE FOR THE BODY
Like
the Divine Lord is hidden in HIS Creation, GHEE is hidden in milk. Through the
introduction of Agni to milk, by the friction of churning, butter appears. This
butter is then heated over fire and the most hidden part of milk, GHEE appears. The milk of cows is
considered to possess the essence or sap of all plants, and ghee is the essence
of milk. The ingestion of ghee is offering the finest of fuels into the fires
of digestion (Agni). Ghee
increases the sattvic qualities of life both in our self and in our environment. Ghee increases Dhi
(intelligence), refines the Buddhi (intellect) and improves the Smrti (memory).
Ghee also builds the aura, makes all the organs soft, and increases Rasa (the
internal juices of the body). Ghee is Guru (heavy). It mildly
increases the qualities of Kapha and decreases Pitta and Vata, which are light.
In moderation, ghee balances all the doshas.
PREVENTIVE MEDICINE IS BETTER & CHEAPER
I have been brought up in a medical environment by my doctor dad and highly
educated mom, to respect the marvelous human body, take extra care about it,
and above all never to misuse or abuse it. Therefore, I follow the preventive
medicine route and avoid falling sick, instead of the normal route of
carelessness and going in for the invasive and costly treatment of Allopathic
Medicine, which was, incidentally, available in house, free of charge. Active
lifestyle to include racket games, & swimming, has helped build me into a
strong person. Mostly vegan diet and eating in moderation was the second factor
contributing to our good health and strong immune systems. I still remember
accompanying my parents on early morning brisk walks during my childhood
days.
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE - SUPERIOR CURE
The big reason being deep cultural roots, religious beliefs and mindsets,
imposing self-control on the public and masses. Since the basic family unit is
still intact in these not so developed countries, peer pressure works very
effectively when young ones go astray on the high consumption and harmful
routes of losing self-control. They are rescued by low-cost alternative
medicine. The conventional Allopathic doctor – medicine system is supplemented
by various other cheaper systems: Tai–chi, Reiki, Pranic healing, grandmothers’
recipes, kitchen spices and herbs, Homeopathy, Yunani medicine, Aruvedic
medicine, Earology, Reflexology, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Mudra Techniques,
Marma Techniques, Magnet Therapy, Yoga, Hydrotherapy, Auto urine therapy, Aroma
Therapy, crystal and gemstones healing, to name a few of them. Most of them are
self-administered, easy and dirt cheap to acquire. The underlying premise is
self-control and limiting harmful inputs into your body, especially the toxic
and dehydrating poisonous allopathic medicines with their positive compounding
side effects. You treat your illnesses temporarily with strong doses of
medicines which will eventually be recalled, after a couple of years, leaving
you permanently damaged with many more side effects. Death is the only solution
in site for most of us.
GARLIC & ONION ARE POTENT MEDICINES
We have been consuming these powerful items by using them as primary
starting points in our daily cooking. It is much worse than consuming coke cola
or any of the above drinks based upon crude medicines. Garlic cures many acute
& chronic ailments, so why do we take it as food on a regular basis. The
answer is ancient stone age beliefs handed down by our ignorant forefathers.
What we eat becomes a part of us, therefore why do we want toxic Garlic to be a
part of us as toxicity. A large part of our population like Jains, Brahma
Kumaris, Radha swamis, & other learned people do not consume these potent
