THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE SELF

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE SELF

The Illusion of the Flesh

The system builds a hall where illness thrives

and feeds the weakness in distracted lives;

But know the truth: no savior comes to stay,

you walk this solitary path, the only way.

The waist expands where garbage rules the state,

Eating chaos masquerading as fate;

The child learns early how to fake the sigh,

to catch the searching parent's anxious eye.

The Paradox of Marital Fire

Two bodies joined, yet separate in their core,

The love of hate is what the hearts explore;

For pleasure fades, and biology grows cold,

Respect the difference, or the story’s told.

The Chemistry of Touch

The frontal lobe, where storms of stress reside,

Finds quiet strength where tender hands abide;

A cuddle given, a pressure eased and known,

The seed of peace is in the stillness sown.

The Biology of Friction

The heart possesses a superior mind,

A deeper truth the intellect can't find;

It shields the brain from heavy, daily stress,

Through silent bonds and healing tenderness.

The early spark of passion soon declines,

as nature shifts to focus her designs;

Though marital friction naturally appears,

True wisdom respects the difference of the years.

The Alchemy of the Kitchen

Reject the oil that heavy pans require

and trust the steam or low-heat baking fire;

Fill up the bowl with ancient, roasted grain,

to feed the lucky few who live without pain.

Exchange the sodium for the lighter potassium salt

and bring the sugary cravings to a halt;

For self-worth rises in the quiet hours,

when discipline unlocks our hidden powers.

The Elixir of the Earth

The ancient texts reveal the Som Rus clear,

An apple-driven juice to conquer fear;

Three spoons within the glass before you eat,

Will make the hidden, spreading cells retreat.

Avoid the fire, embrace the morning fast,

sixteen dark hours to make the temple last;

Starve out the shadow, let the body heal,

and let the ancient millet grace the meal.

The Ultimate Loss

The line is thin where angry minds advance,

before they slip into a permanent trance;

A brief return, then darkness takes the throne,

and leaves the temple empty and alone.

But do not fear the hour the body dies,

look to the tragedy that deeper lies:

The greatest sorrow on this earthly floor,

Is what expiring while we still walk through the door.

Human Schism

The One gave life that we might love and grow

And watch the seeds of cosmic wonder sow;

But we, in pride, built idols made of stone,

to hate the neighbor and to stand alone.

The Clock of Consciousness

In panic’s grip, a piece of life is slain,

and worry speeds the ticking of the brain;

But close your eyes, let meditation deep Unwind

the hours that aging try to keep.

The clever youth would change the outer land,

but wisdom takes the mirror in its hand;

The higher self-will whisper from the floor,

before it pulls the rug and breaks the door.

The Cosmic Return

The spark goes nowhere when the flame is dead,

It fills the sky and hovers overhead;

To come again when cosmic winds align,

A brief, bright tourist in a divine dress.

The mind will wander, searching for a spark,

The heart stays home, a beacon in the dark;

For in the end, when currency is spent,

Humility and innocence are what was meant.

The Digital Veil & The Divine

Disconnect the wire, the glowing screen,

touch the hidden hand, the force unseen;

For code and currents bind the mind below,

while higher skies demand you let them go.

The Great Creator spun the stars to move

in endless multiplication and in love;

Yet fragile mortals drew a narrow line

and split the world with idols of design.

The Digital Void

Disconnect the wires that bind the sight

And leave the buzzing screen within the night;

To touch the Source and find a higher grace,

You must be still within this hollow space.

The Great Detachment

Nothing is owned, and nothing owns the soul,

to let the moment make the broken whole;

Empty of "mine," the heart is finally free,

to drown within the love’s vast, silent sea.
